Zwischen
Coordination for collective life — mediated through perception, not prediction.
No modelling of users. No inferring reliability. No steering of outcomes.
Zwischen — German for the in-between — is a coordination system for small groups. It shapes how people relate to what is forming: an evening, a match, a gathering. Most coordination tools quietly become surveillance — scoring who is reliable, predicting who will show, nudging behaviour toward a metric. Zwischen refuses all three. It makes the shared state perceptible and lets the group act on what it sees.
The working core is a Telegram bot: groups form events, track participation and constraints,
handle waitlists and lifecycles, and — the part that matters most — carry memory
from one gathering into the next. Built in Python on python-telegram-bot,
SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL, with a Mini App and a standalone client on the roadmap.
